The club meets on a Saturday at the sports hall of Saffron Walden County High School in Saffron Walden.

Club fees are £25 per person per month, plus £5 per month if you wish to hire equipment. For multiple fencers in 1 family the membership fee is reduced to £23 per person per month

Club membership fees should be paid in advance by direct credit to the club bank account. If this is not possible then we can accept a cheque or cash but there is a fee of £2.50 to do this.

Yes, everyone who fences at Saffron Walden Swords needs to have British Fencing membership, as this forms an important part of our club insurance. However, British Fencing offer a free 90 day membership to allow people to try the sport without having to take out full membership from the start.

None for introductory course (although you may want to buy a fencing glove), but our members will need to buy at minimum a fencing glove and a bayonet style body wire – available from fencing equipment suppliers on the Links page.
