We aim to keep our membership fees competitive to ensure that fencing is accessible to everyone

Our membership fees cover the cost of hall hire, provision and maintenance of equipment and club administration, with a simple flat membership fee for all members.

Membership is open to anyone over 7 years old and all members must also be members of British Fencing, which is a requirement of our insurance. Fees are paid monthly in advance by direct credit into the club bank account, using the fencers name as the reference.

Our membership fee is £25 per person per month which covers 1 coaching session a week. Where 2 or more members of the same household are club members this is reduced to £23 per person per month.

If you wish to hire club equipment (lame, plastron, jacket and breeches) there is an additional fee of £5 a month. All regular fencers should have their own glove and body wire.

For novice fencers we run a 7 week beginners introductory course which costs £70 and includes coaching and all equipment. This course provides an introduction to fencing and allows novices to experience the excitement of the sport and gain the basic skills needed to progress to the group coaching sessions. Participants will receive 4 group sessions with other novices, and then 3 weeks in a group coached transition session with the coached classes. At the end of the course participants are able to progress to the group coaching if they would like to continue fencing.
